Security Essen is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Since 1974, it has developed into a meeting place for experts from the fields of security, access control and building security. From 17th to 20th September 2024, the trade fair will bring together the security industry and showcase innovations and further developments in the sector with around 500 exhibitors. PCS Systemtechnik has also been an exhibitor since 2000.
PCS Managing Director Walter Elsner emphasises the importance: "We congratulate Security in Essen on 50 years of outstanding trade fair presence. PCS has been an exhibitor since 2000. We have witnessed how this trade fair has developed into a first-class platform with an international reach. Visitors and exhibitors alike benefit from the intensive dialogue with industry experts and the comprehensive range of information on trends and new technologies. We are delighted to be part of the security industry's large network again this year."
PCS is using Security Essen this year to present the innovative DEXIOS access control software solution to a wide audience. Other highlights on the stand include the wireless, mechatronic locking system INTUS Flex and the entire product portfolio for access and entry control, video surveillance and visitor management. The latest ID management solutions from smartphones to biometrics round off the PCS solutions.
New at Security: DEXIOS software
The DEXIOS software provides customers with a co-pilot for access control, time recording and visitor management. Automation and efficiency take centre stage. The application is based on modular software and can be networked with other applications via interfaces. Various function packages are available in DEXIOS to customise the access system. The optional modules such as alarms, site plans or badge printing can be individually licensed and used - for a future-proof, flexibly customisable and highly scalable overall solution. Automated workflows simplify all approval processes and document changes in the system in a traceable manner.
The new optional licence model is also future-oriented: the pay-per-use method keeps investment costs low and ensures that only master records and modules that are used are billed.

PCS will be showcasing the flexible INTUS Flex mechatronic locking systems at Security. The mechatronic locking cylinders and door handles are suitable for all types of doors, including fire and smoke protection doors, which cannot be integrated into the electronic access control system via wiring. The advantage: INTUS Flex components can optionally be connected directly to the networked access system via wireless gateways. In this way, access authorisations are checked in real time and bookings are transferred directly to the leading access system. Alternatively, the INTUS Flex components are available with the OSS reading method. Customers who opt for this receive a standardised, manufacturer-neutral solution that is future-oriented and scalable for expansion.
