intro is the Ksenia Security module that enhances the security and access control features of the lares 4.0 control panel.
It is physically connected to the Ksenia volo or volo-in proximity readers and/or a Ksenia ergo-X keypad, allowing the identification of users entering in an area protected by security keys/ PIN codes. The control panel verifies the user’s credentials to authorize or deny access to the gate, records all accesses and notifies the user via the lares 4.0 App.
intro is the ideal solution to protect access to residential, commercial and industrial environments, restricted areas such as server rooms and laboratories and sensitive locations such as museums, banks and government institutions.
nebula detectors are optical devices that allow smoke and fire detection in compliance with Eu law DIN EN 54-7. Both models are fitted with a separate base, available in silver and white colors, they are extremely practical in cabling power supply and alarm signal wires; finally, the installation is complete by screwing the device to the above-mentioned base. Two versions of detectors are available : the first one with silver mesh and the second with circular glass design; both of them have a red LED for alarm signalling. nebula detector can be directly wired to lares 4.0 control panel, custom balances. The real time status of the smoke detector is shown on the APP lares 4.0 user, page Protection-> Sensors -> Smoke category. Also available in wireless version.
Mini Bullet is an IP video-surveillance camera for outdoor / indoor use with 4 MP CMOS sensor in HD with IP67 protection grade and day / night functionality, smart IR, IR distance up to 30m, optical glass lens with higher light transmission, anti-reflective IR lens which increases the transmittance of the infrared 3D DNR (Digital Noise Reduction) H.265, H.264, MJPEG Video format 9:16, Protection class IP67 in compliance with ONVIF protocol. The outdoor siren imago is an acoustic and optical professional alarm with a unique and exclusive design, it is extremely compact and slim (its maximum thickness is 6 cm.) together with an advanced technology to combine the best possible performance with the highest energy saving: high sound pressure, 1W LED blinker and auxiliary high-efficiency low-consumption warning LED. The siren is fully controlled by a micro-controller which verifies all conditions and reports them opportunely. The battery is kept under constant supervision and any malfunction or low battery level are immediately reported to the control panel. imago is protected against wire-cut, opening or removal from wall (tamper protection), and, despite of its small dimension, hides a strong under-cover anti-smashing. The high quality material with UV protection and the sophisticated project grant long time endurance against all atmospheric agents. imago is connected to the lares 4.0 control panel through the 4-wire serial BUS (KS-BUS) and can be easily programmed from the control panel. Possibility to manage and configure all the siren parameters directly from the web interface. imago is available in different colors and, on request, can be customized with the Installer logo. The transparent base is available in different colors: orange, red and blue; the front cover available colors are: white, gray, blue and green.
vox-M outdoor siren is a luminous and powerful alarm sounder, an acoustic alarm device which plays dual-tone buzzer and personalized voice messages according to the configuration; it is equipped with two high brightness multicolor LEDs and a third lighting LED. Number and duration of voice messages can be can be remotely customizable from Ksenia SecureWeb and from Ksenia PRO Installer App. You can generate the siren voice messages with Loquendo TTS, already used by lares 4.0 control panel voice messages. The two RGB LEDs and the third lighting LED can be perform different functions according to the configuration. vox-M siren is power supplied by lares 4.0 KS-BUS (13.8V) and by a 12V backup battery (not included) in case of power failure; voltage current on BUS and battery charge level are constantly monitored, the values are shown on BUS peripheral real time section, also the control panel reports both the lowering charge level and any failure of the battery. vox-M siren is protected against opening or removal from wall (tamper protection), BUS wire-cut, anti-foam tamper system and it is designed for the anti-drilling tamper. It is equipped with a temperature sensor to display the temperature on the Ksenia keypads, on lares 4.0 User App and on the real time section of BUS peripheral. Resin insulation of electrical equipment and materials used guarantee resistance against bad weather conditions, over time. Easy to install because connected to lares 4.0 via the KS-BUS, vox-M is also easy to program as it allows remote configuration.
vox-C outdoor siren is made with the same mechanical box and the same magnetodynamic speaker as vox-M but inside there is a simplified electronics. The differences with vox-M are highlighted in the technical characteristics.
The radius self-powered indoor siren is actually a professional (acoustic & optical) sounder which shows a unique and exclusive design, extremely slim (max. 37 mm thick) associated with a modern technology aimed to combine the best possible performances with the maximum energy saving: very high sound pressure, 3W power LED Alarm Light which also acts as emergency light in case of main power’s black-out. The siren is fully controlled by a microprocessor which checks the possible status of the device and sends the appropriate signal. radius, like the ergo keypads, has been designed to be fully flexible even from a chromatic stand point of view to be easily and superbly integrated in any kind of interior design: as a matter of fact, its design allows the end user to take advantage of 4 different colors: white, metallized gray, red and black. The battery is steadily monitored and its malfunctioning immediately signalized to the Control Panel. On top of the automatic protection for preventing wire-cutting actions, radius is protected by 2 tamper switches against cover opening and against removal from the wall. radius is linked to the lares Control Panel by means of the 4-wires serial KS-BUS and it can be easily programmed from PC.
opera is a remote control with a revolutionary design, both ergonomic and minimalist. Thanks to the bi-directional communication, opera is not limited to the possibility to activate up to 7 different scenarios, but also to deliver in any moment the system status (armed, partial armed and disarmed) visualized by one of the three LEDs positioned on the upper part. The activation of any scenario is confirmed both visually (through the relevant LED) and by means of a vibra-motor device. The implementation of a complex encryption algorithm guarantees a superior Security level and contemporary allows the utilization of the same remote control’s device even with different installations (i.e. main residence and sea cottage). opera is available in the four Ksenia institutional colors: white, red, gray and black. Any key of the remote control can be pressed to activate the PANIC/SOS function, triggering a series of actions such as voice calls, SMS, e-mail, whose addresses, as well as the actions to be performed, are preconfigured in the lares 4.0 control panel. In this mode, the PANIC/SOS signal is also sent by pressing the central button of opera, which normally indicates the battery status.
volo and volo-in are proximity readers that allow the user to manage the arming /disarming of the Ksenia Security System and more in general the activation/deactivation of different scenarios programmed in terms of Home Integration, by means of enabled mini-Tags (KSI7600000.000). They are connected to the 4-wires KS-BUS and programmed directly from the Control Panel. volo can be installed both outdoor (its plastic enclosure and the PCB protection treatment of full immersion in epoxy resin allows the outdoor installation without additional protection) and indoor, directly onto the wall (in vertical) or screwed onto the box DIN 503 (with an optional frame - KSI220001.3X0). From a component point of view, volo has been developed with an innovative tamper protection (against wall removal and opening): an accelerometer. volo-in is an indoor proximity reader that can be installed on any type of switch plate normally designed for light switches, it uses the slot of the standard adapter normally used for the RJ45 socket. Both the devices are provided with 5 colors LED and each of them can be associated to a customizable scenario; besides the light signal, volo-in is also provided with acoustic signals (a different tone each color) to the performed operations, to compensate for a particular lighting conditions (e.g. over-exposure) as well as to meet the needs of visually impaired users.
ergo-X keypad is an access control user interface connected to and power supplied by the BUS of lares 4.0 control panel. ergo-X keypad allows the user to run any type of scenario in the following ways: place your mini-Tag near RFID reader on the keypad and then press the key that activates the desired scenario; enter your code and then press a programmed key (with PIN); long press the programmed key (without PIN). For recovering eventual errors while you are entering the code, it is possible to cancel the wrong digits by pressing <X> key; incorrect code blocks the keypad for 5 minutes after the third wrong attempt. Scenarios and colors of RGB led associated can be remotely customizable from Installer App. ergo-X keypad emits a beep during the entry and the exit time. The control panel detects sabotage attempts thanks to the tamper on the back of the case, the sabotage and restore events, associated to scenarios and missing notifications, are sent to users and installers. Two I/O terminals on the keypad can be programmed as outputs (open collector 500mA each) or as inputs (NO and NC or balanced up to triple parallel balancing, fast zones excluded). Finally, the protection degree IP65 of the case allows outdoors installation, guarantees the operation even in the presence of pouring rain and does not require additional protection.
ergo-S keypad with wide dot matrix LCD display and keys in CapSense technology, can control and manage Ksenia lares 4.0 control panels, connected via BUS. Two distinct menus, available for user (according to his level access) and installer, thanks to dedicated PINs, are provided. The display shows all the information and the data that ergo-S can manage, on two rows with 16 characters each; also an automatic scroll system is implemented that allows you to view automatically strings up to 32 characters long. Actually, “Scroll” is not a key but the area delimited by a circle characterized by a little depression. Moving clockwise or anticlockwise the finger on this area, allows to scroll forwards or backwards the menu items to choose the configuration data available. ergo-S keypad allows the user to run any type of scenario by placing mini-Tag near RFID reader on the keypad and then by pressing the key that activates the desired scenario or by entering PIN code and then by pressing the programmed key. Furthermore, the ergo-S keypad installed in the lares 4.0 system, allows the user to use the remote voice management service by calling the telephone number of the control panel and following the voice menu; each operation suggest the key to press for: environmental listening (using the ergo-S microphone and loudspeaker), partition status information and scenarios activation.
ergo-M keypad with wide dot matrix LCD display and mechanical keypad, can control and manage Ksenia lares 4.0 control panels, connected via BUS. Two distinct menus, available for user (according to his level access) and installer, thanks to dedicated PINs, are provided. The display shows all the information and the data that ergo-M can manage, on two rows with 16 characters each; also an automatic scroll system is implemented that allows you to view automatically strings up to 32 characters long. The keys in the area delimited by the circle with a central key, are used to scroll through the menu items (different for user and installer), to choose and set the configuration data. ergo-M keypad allows the user to run any type of scenario by placing mini-Tag near RFID reader on the keypad and then by pressing the key that activates the desired scenario or by entering PIN code and then by pressing the programmed key.
ergo-T pro is a touchscreen IP keypad of the latest generation, it has a graphic interface, the ideal command and control interface of lares 4.0 IoT platform, in line with lares 4.0 mobile application: this guarantees the same user experience to the end-user, during the local or remote management of the control panel. The 10.1” display has high brightness and sharpness, for a better day and night management. It communicates with the control panel via LAN network thanks to its IP network interface. In this way, it is possible to manage the functions in terms of Physical Security (Intrusion, Video Verification and Access Control) but also Home & Building Automation (i.e. management of the various Automations, Lights, Temperatures, Motorized shutters, Appliances, Irrigation, etc.). ergo-T pro is recognized by the control panel with a fast acquisition process with no need of any configuration on the router; furthermore, it can be supervised by the control panel like a normal keypad on BUS. The keypad has a bracket on-board and does not require any additional steps to be mounted. This guarantees an improved freedom of installation.
ergo-T are touchscreen keypads, the ideal command and control interface of lares 4.0 control panels. They communicate to the panel via local network throught their IP interface. In this way, not only is it possible to manage all the various functions related to Intrusion Security, but also the functions of Video Verification, Access Control, up to what is today defined as Home Automation or Smart Home/Smart Building in general (i.e. management of the various automations, lights, temperatures, motorized shutters, appliances, irrigation, etc.). Even though they use the network port, ergo-T are recognized by the control panel with a fast acquisition process with no need of any configuration on the router; furthermore, they can be supervised by the panel like a normal keypad on BUS.
lares 4.0 control panels are the ideal and the most advanced solution within the IoT technologies, both for Physical Security (Intrusion, Video Surveillance, Access Control) and Home & Building Automation. All lares 4.0 are hybrid (wired and wireless) and have a number of outputs equal to the number of inputs for lights, HVAC, irrigation, shutter blinds and any other kind of automation or household appliance. The control panel can be managed by the end-user through an App called lares 4.0 and can be programmed by the Installer via any mobile terminal, thanks to the Ksenia Pro App. Ksenia PRO App allows you to centralize and geo-locate all the installed control panels and offer the best assistance to the end-user by receiving push notifications, even technological alerts; by implementing a web server inside the motherboard, no PC programs are required, remote configuration takes place via web (locally or via the Ksenia SecureWeb cloud). Regardless of the model of lares 4.0, the motherboard is designed with an Ethernet interface, 8 input terminals and 2 terminals that can be configured as inputs or outputs. The control panel is available in two versions: with one BUS (compatible, except for some exceptions, with all existing Ksenia BUS devices) or double BUS and 868MHz bi-directional wireless transceiver (compatible with all existing Ksenia wireless devices). The motherboard is also designed with a Micro SD Slot for create and restore backup local configuration and for upgrade the system, a connector for 4G/LTE module and a connector for PSTN module. It is possible to configure and send voice messages, emails, sms, push notifications, Contact ID and SIA DC-09 level III protocol to the Surveillance Centers. lares 4.0 control panel is designed to optimally take the strictest installation and management conditions and for the most “sensitive” applications. The motherboard can be installed inside our metal boxes. Together with the motherboard you can install inside up to 7 expansion modules, a 18Ah backup battery and a 50W switching power supply.
nanus poli is a wireless micro magnetic contact, integral part of the 868 MHz Bi-Directional System of Ksenia. nanus poli is identified, as all Ksenia Security Products, by an unique and exclusive design which develops itself around the Battery volume as the major constraint. As all the other KSENIA wls devices, the nanus poli magnetic contact implements DPMS (Dynamic Power Management System), the possibility to program the supervision time from minimum of 1 minute to a maximum of 240 minutes (default set-up: 5 minutes), the battery status control (with signal warning transmission when its substitution is recommended), and integrates a tamper on the opening. nanus poli has a unique serial number which is being automatically acquired by the system during the installation phase; both the basis programming software and the ergo keypads indicate in real time the signal level of each device and communication path in the case that more BUS Transceivers or Repeaters are present in the same architecture. nanus poli is available in 3 colors: White, Brown and Grey to make it suitable to the different installation requirements.
poli is a wireless magnetic contact with 2 auxiliary inputs, integral part of the 868 MHz Bi-Directional System of Ksenia. poli is identified, as all Ksenia Security Products, by an unique and exclusive design which develops itself around the Battery volume as the major constraint. It integrates inside 2 programmable inputs which can be used to connect external wired magnetic contacts rather than wired curtain detectors, glass brake detectors and/or wired roller blind detectors, rendering it, as a matter of fact, as a small wireless expansion module (up to 3 zones). Thanks to its Bi-Directional Communication, the input configuration (type, number of impulses, balance) are programmable directly from the basis software. velum DT-AM detectors, due to their small form factor, are particularly suitable for doors and windows protection; high quality of materials and improved technology make these detectors appropriate in outdoor environments where the coverage of defined areas, like vertical walls or gates, is needed. These detectors implement a curtain coverage with an angle of about 7.5° and they have a trimmable range up to 12 meters. The fabrication materials used are waterproof and the electronic board is treated with epoxy resin to ensure its correct working in every humidity and temperature condition. The accurate design and the digital signal processing of microwave make these sensors very stable and prevent from false alarms. The anti-masking process has been implemented using active IR LEDs. The outdoor curtain velum DT-AM detectors are synonym of reliability and high security, not only from a quality point of view, but also against sabotage attempts, in fact the tamper protection is ensured by an accelerometer and by a switch against the front opening. Programmable functions (enable/disable) by dip-switch on electronic board: LED RGB, anti masking analysis, tamper analysis, EOL resistors.

domus is a built-in module of lares 4.0 control panel with the following functionalities: motion detector and temperature, relative humidity and light intensity sensor; for installation it uses the keystone opening (of identical size on any series of switch plates). In combination with Ksenia auxi-L module, it allows to switch the lights on and off, depending on the internal brightness, whenever someone is in the room. The temperature and humidity sensors allow you to manage the air conditioning and dehumidification system through the lares 4.0 user APP, switch your chronothermostat on and off and set the temperature throughout the day and the week with daily and weekly programs.
micro poli is a wireless multifunction sensor designed and developed by Ksenia Security; it implements the wireless bidirectional 868 MHz protocol used by all models of lares 4.0 control panels.
The two REEDs inside the transmitter make the installation of the sensor extremely easy permitting to choose which of the two magnets to use; moreover, the two REEDs can be used as magnetic anti-masking.
Thanks to the embedded 3-Axis accelerometer based on MEMs technology, micro poli is also an inertial sensor to detect vibrations and breaking of glass and windows.
Finally, it is able to identify the inclination of the frame it protects, allowing the management of any type of window opening, for example vasistas.
The new indoor detector from Ksenia Security unum-X is the ideal solution for intrusion detection in residential, commercial and industrial sites.The common feature of the entire range is the ability to vary the PIR beam range and width simply by rotating the Fresnel lens by 180°. In this way, it will be possible to use them both as VOLUMETRIC and as indoor CURTAIN detectors (corridors)!
