We're delighted to have won "Fire Safety Innovation of the Year" at the Fire Safety Matters Awards!
The award is in recognition of Testifire XTR2 , our exciting new test solution which launched at last year’s Firex International and is now in use across the UK and Europe.  Testifire XTR2 is unlike any previous tester we have launched, working alongside our DT Connect app, it combines functional testing with live reporting supporting the increasing demand, from both service companies and building owners, to demonstrate compliance.

With the relevant smoke or heat programme selected, Testifire XTR2 uses the detector LEDs to confirm the test result.  This result is communicated via Bluetooth to the DT Connect app which is used to set up and manage the site visit, upon completion of the visit all results are pulled together to create a site-specific test report which can then be shared with the building owner, providing confirmation of the work carried out and highlighting any detectors which require attention.
Since the launch of Testifire XTR2, we’ve had great feedback, some of which is already being used to introduce new features and functionality.  We’ll be showing casing these updates at upcoming exhibitions and sharing more information on our social channels and website.
The ‘Fire Safety Innovation of the Year’ category was extremely competitive, with strong entries from another eleven companies, which made winning the award even more special.

We’re making some changes to our product portfolio that will affect how we fulfil future orders for products within the Testifire 1000 range.
As of 1st July 2024, Detectortesters along with our distribution partners, will begin to fulfil orders for the current Testifire 1000 range with the equivalent product from the Testifire XTR2 range. 

This change will cover orders from the UK and Germany only, Testifire 1000 will continue to be available in other markets.

Please note that in addition to the TS3 smoke capsules, other accessories and spares for Testifire 1000 will also continue to be accessible.  Additionally, the Testifire 2000 remains available to continue to support CO detector testing.

The certification, which covers the USA and Canada, follows an extensive programme of testing and evaluation by UL and confirms Testifire XTR2 is compliant with the relevant safety regulations and standards.
